Markha Valley Trek

Early morning after breakfast leave for Leh, through Nakeela and Lachangla Pass 16,617 ft. Lunch at Pang. After Lunch drive to Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (Biggest and Highest Plateau on Earth on Stretch of 42 Kms), Tanglang La Pass 17,585ft - 2nd highest motorable road in the world and Indus Valley. Reach Upshi where you drive along with Indus River. On arrival at Leh check in to the Hotel. Stay overnight in Leh.

Altitude Awareness: The breathtaking descent into Leh can cause mild ear discomfort due to the altitude stay hydrated, drink plenty of water and avoid smoking for 2 days.

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we take you for a tour of Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, Kali Temple and Sangam. At Sangam you can enjoy rafting on Zanskar river.

Hall of Fame is a must visit for every patriotic Indian. It has been built by Indian army in memory of soldiers who lost their lives in Kargil war.

Gurdwara Patthar Sahib located at a distance of 40 kms from Leh, was constructed in 1571, in memory of Guru Nanak to commemorate his visit to this region.

Magnetic Hill is the place where you will see your car, with its engine turned off, move upwards on a steep slope. It almost sounds unbelievable.

The Sangam is the place called Nimu where the Zanskar river and Indus rivers merge. In the evening come back to Leh. Overnight at Hotel.

After an early breakfast, drive to beautiful Nubra Valley via Khardung La (Highest Motor-able road in the World, 18,380 ft) with the zig zag trail continues and drive till Hundar village. On arrival check in Hotel or camp. Afternoon enjoy the beauty of sand dune and double hump camel ride. Overnight at Camp or Hotel.

KHARDUNG LA PASS: The road journey to Nubra valley leads through Khardung La pass (The highest Motorable road in the world) 18,390 ft. around 39 Kms away from Leh. There are two checkpoints on both sides of the pass.

DESKIT VILLAGE & GOMPA: Deskit is the main village of headquarter of Nubra valley. Deskit Gompa was founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo in about 1420 AD. About 100 monks reside here. Spectacular view of the valley can be seen from the monastery.

HUNDAR VILLAGE: Hundar is a beautiful village with lots of trees. It has a small monastery and ruined fort above the village. Enjoy Camel Safari (Double Hump bactrian camels) from Hundar to Deskit through sand dunes.

Early morning drive to Turtuk village with drive landscape, Exotic village. Turtuk this village is about 115 kms from Nubra valley and can take about 3 to 4 hours to reach here. The total population of Turtuk is just 4000 and follow Islam. About 40 years back this village was under Pakistan and they speak Baltistan language.

Explore this beautiful village and experience the life here. We will go for a walk around the village and meet the local people. Later come back to Hunder village. Overnight at the camps or Hotel.

Today, we get up early morning visit to Diskit monastery and have wonderful view of Nubra valley. Later drive to Pangong Tso via Shayok.

Enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes which will leave you awestruck. Visit popular photo spots, including the "3 Idiots" shooting location. Overnight at Camp.

As dawn breaks over Pangong Tso, the journey to Leh begins with the lake shimmering in soft hues of blue and gold, mirroring the sky above. The road gently winds away from the silent waters, passing through stark yet mesmerizing landscapes where rugged mountains stand like timeless guardians.

As you ascend the Chang La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world, prayer flags flutter in the crisp wind, carrying whispers of hope and gratitude across the peaks. Descending from the pass, the terrain slowly softens brown valleys give way to small settlements, fluttering poplar trees, and smiling faces along the roadside.

By the time you reach Leh, the sun hangs low, bathing the town in warm light, and the journey feels less like a drive and more like a soulful passage through the heart of Ladakh. Overnight at Leh.
