Itinerary

  • DAY01

Arrival in Manali | Hadimba Temple, Old Manali & Mall Road

Check in to the hotel and rest for a bit before heading out. Manali sits at 6,726 ft not extreme, but enough that a slow first afternoon makes sense.

Hadimba Devi Temple is a 16th-century wood and stone temple built directly into the forested hillside above town. The four-tiered pagoda roof is one of the better-preserved examples of Himachali temple architecture in the region. Worth the short walk up through the cedar forest.

Old Manali is the original village above the main town narrower lanes, guesthouses, cafes, and a noticeably different pace from the commercial strip below. Good for a relaxed walk around.

Evening on Mall Road for dinner and local shopping. This is the main market strip crowded, functional, and a good place to pick up anything you've forgotten for the road ahead. Overnight at Manali.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can I avoid altitude sickness in Ladakh?

The itinerary is designed for gradual acclimatization. On Day 1, complete rest is recommended after your flight to Leh. Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol and smoking for the first 2 days, and move slowly during sightseeing. We provide oxygen cylinders in all vehicles. Optional short walks, like visiting Shanti Stupa on Day 1, are suggested only if your health permits.

  • What is the best time to visit Ladakh?

The best time is June to September when high passes such as Khardung La (Day 3) and roads to Nubra Valley and Pangong Tso (Day 5) are open. July and August offer the most reliable weather, with daytime temperatures pleasant for sightseeing and outdoor activities.

  • Are permits included in the package?

Yes, all Inner Line Permits for Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso, and Turtuk (Days 3–5) are included. Travelers must carry original ID proof (Aadhar card, passport, or driving license) for permit processing. Your guide will assist in completing the formalities during the trip.

  • What type of accommodation is provided?

We provide comfortable hotels in Leh (Days 1, 2, 6) and Nubra Valley (Days 3, 4), and well-equipped camps at Hunder or Pangong Tso (Day 5) with essential facilities. All accommodations include breakfast and dinner. Camps at Pangong Tso offer spectacular lake views for a memorable experience.

  • What meals are included during the tour?

Breakfast and dinner are included at all stays. Lunch is not included, but can be arranged at local restaurants en route (Days 2, 3, 5) on direct payment, typically costing ₹200–₹300 per person. We recommend carrying dry snacks and water for long drives, especially to Khardung La and Nubra Valley.

  • What should I pack for this trip?

Even in summer, temperatures can drop sharply in the evenings. Pack warm layers including fleece jackets, down jacket, woolen caps, gloves, and scarves. Comfortable trekking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm, and personal medications are essential. Carry your ID and some cash since ATMs may be limited, especially in Nubra Valley and Turtuk.

  • What activities are included on this itinerary?

Highlights include Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace visit (Day 1), Sham Valley sightseeing including Hall of Fame and Magnetic Hill (Day 2), Nubra Valley camel safari at Hunder (Day 3), Turtuk village walk (Day 4), Pangong Tso photography & sightseeing (Day 5), and monastery visits at Hemis, Thiksey, and Shey Palace (Day 6). All activities are guided and optional based on health and weather conditions.
