Itinerary

  • DAY01

    Arrival in Leh | Acclimatization, Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace

    You arrive in Leh at 11,500 ft. Our representative meets you and transfers you to the hotel. The rest of the day is strictly for rest, no sightseeing, no rushing. Your body needs time to adjust to the altitude and skipping this causes real problems later. Tea, water, and a horizontal position.

    Late afternoon, if you feel fine, we drive to Shanti Stupa. The views across Leh town at dusk are worth it. Leh Palace is a short walk from there. Both are optional, listen to your body on this one.

    Altitude Awareness: Leh sits at 11,500 ft. Headaches, mild nausea and fatigue on day one are normal. Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol, and do not smoke for at least 2 days.

  • How can I avoid altitude sickness in Ladakh?

    The itinerary is designed for gradual acclimatization. On Day 1, rest is recommended after your flight to Leh. Stay hydrated, avoid alcohol and smoking for the first 2 days, and move slowly during sightseeing. Optional short walks, like visiting Shanti Stupa, are suggested only if your health permits. Oxygen cylinders are available in vehicles if needed.

  • What is the best time to visit Ladakh?

    The ideal travel period is June to September when passes like Khardung La (Day 3) and roads to Nubra Valley (Day 3–4), Pangong Lake (Day 5), and Tso Moriri (Day 8) are open. July and August offer the most reliable weather and pleasant daytime temperatures for sightseeing and outdoor activities.

  • Are permits included in the package?

    Yes, all required Inner Line Permits for Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake, Turtuk (Days 3–5), Hanle (Days 6–7), and Tso Moriri (Day 8) are included. Travelers must carry original ID proof (Aadhar card, passport, or driving license) for permit processing. Your guide will assist during the trip.

  • What type of accommodation is provided?

    Comfortable hotels in Leh (Days 1, 2, 6, 9) and Nubra Valley (Days 3–4) are included. Camps with essential facilities are arranged at Hunder (Day 3–4), Pangong Lake (Day 5), Hanle (Days 6–7), and Tso Moriri (Day 8). All stays include breakfast and dinner. Camps at Pangong Lake and Tso Moriri offer spectacular lake views.

  • What meals are included during the tour?

    Breakfast and dinner are included at all stays. Lunch is not included but can be arranged at local eateries along the route (Days 2, 3, 5, 6, 8) on direct payment, typically costing ₹200–₹300 per person. Carry dry snacks and water for long drives, especially to Khardung La, Nubra Valley, Pangong, and Tso Moriri.

  • What should I pack for this trip?

    Even in summer, evenings can be cold. Pack warm layers: fleece jackets, down jacket, woolen caps, gloves, and scarves. Comfortable trekking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm, and personal medications are essential. Carry your ID and cash, as ATMs may be limited in remote areas like Nubra Valley, Turtuk, Hanle, and Tso Moriri.

  • Is river rafting included in the itinerary?

    Rafting at Sangam Point (Day 2) is optional and not included in the package. Local operators provide rafting on the Zanskar River at an additional cost. Safety gear and guides are provided, making it suitable for beginners.
