Itinerary

  • DAY 01

    Leh (Visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace in Evening)

    Experience a wonderful flight over the Himalaya, you'll see the stunning snow-capped peaks of the Greater Himalayas. Key peaks like Stok Kangri and Nun-Kun Massif might be visible. As the plane descends, you'll see Leh town with its monasteries, stupas, and the iconic Leh Palace.

    On arrival, you will be received by Ladakh DMC representative and transfer to hotel. After welcome tea and coffee, rest for whole day and let your body take complete acclimatization. Late afternoon, if health permits, drive to Shanti Stupa & stay back. Overnight at Hotel.

    Altitude Awareness: The breathtaking descent into Leh can cause mild ear discomfort due to the altitude stay hydrated, drink plenty of water and avoid smoking for 2 days.

  • Is flight included in the package?

    This package does not include flights. However, we can assist with flight bookings on request. The package focuses on the complete 8-day land itinerary covering Leh, Nubra, Turtuk, Pangong, and Hanle.

  • How to avoid altitude sickness?

    Rest on Day 1, drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol, and move slowly. We provide oxygen cylinders in all vehicles. The itinerary is designed with proper acclimatization in mind.

  • What is special about Hanle?

    Hanle is home to India's first Dark Sky Reserve and the Indian Astronomical Observatory. It offers some of the clearest night skies in the country, perfect for stargazing and astrophotography.

  • What is Turtuk village?

    Turtuk is a village in Nubra region that was under Pakistan until 1971. It has unique Baltistani culture, language, and people. It's a rare opportunity to experience a culture that was cut off from India for decades.

  • Best time to visit?

    May to September is ideal. Roads are open, weather pleasant, and all attractions accessible. Hanle is particularly beautiful during clear summer nights.

  • Permits included?

    Yes, all Inner Line Permits for Nubra, Turtuk, Pangong & Hanle are included. Just bring original ID proof (Aadhar/Passport/Driver's License).

  • What about meals?

    Breakfast and dinner are included at all hotels/camps. Lunch can be arranged on direct payment at local restaurants en route.
